Looking to take advantage of this breezy weekend? The sky over Cronulla Beach will be filled with hundreds of colorful kites in Cronulla’s first-ever Kite Flying Festival. The super colourful event is completely free to attend and includes a variety of family-friendly activities. Enjoy floating colors and flying figures galore along with live music, food trucks, face painting and heaps more on Sunday, February 12.

Fresh on the heels of a successful edition in Castle Hill Showground, the vibrant event is set to take over the Cronulla Beach Foreshore at Don Lucas Reserve for a huge celebration. Expect dozens of kites featuring mermaids, dragons, aliens, elephants, parrots and heaps more. Fan-favourite superheroes like Batman will also take flight.
Aside from the explosion of colour, a plethora of other activities will entertain guests at the beach. Get artsy Henna tattoos on your hands, dance to tunes by live DJ’s, dig into a variety of food offerings on-site and shop from a bunch of merchandise stalls. Rides and other forms of entertainment will be available for kids too. Pack a picnic and blanket to sit on, enjoy a sunny day by the beach and gaze at all the interesting kites in the sky in this fun event for the community.
