Half a century since they first forged heavy metal’s most indestructible legacy, Iron Maiden are flying back into Sydney for a monumental 50th anniversary celebration—and it’s set to be one of the biggest metal tours Australia has ever seen.
The British metal icons will bring their Run For Your Lives World Tour to Australian shores this November, marking their first-ever outdoor stadium headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne and returning to arenas in Adelaide and Brisbane.
The tour, which has drawn rave reviews across Europe and the Americas, revisits the band’s thunderous early years with a setlist stacked with anthems from their first nine albums—including era-defining cuts like Run to the Hills, The Trooper and The Number of the Beast.
Joining Maiden for their Australian run will be another titan of the genre: Megadeth, whose chart-topping final studio release cemented their place among metal’s all-time greats.
It’s a rare one-two punch of historic proportions—two hall-of-fame acts sharing the same stage in what’s set to be one of the heaviest nights of 2026.
“We’re very excited to be bringing this Run For Your Lives tour to Australia later this year—and even more so with Megadeth joining us,” Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris said. “Dave and I have been friends for years, and it will make this an even more memorable show for everyone.”
The November tour will stop in four cities across the country, marking the final leg of Maiden’s global trek before the band takes a well-earned break in 2027.
Promoter Paul Dainty AO dubbed the run “Iron Maiden’s biggest tour of Australia ever,” promising a colossal production scale worthy of their 50-year milestone.
