There’s no shortage of markets in Sydney. From harbourside staples to food markets, there’s plenty around town. But there’s not much to choose from when the sun goes down. Which is what makes the Inner West Night Markets special. Something about the late-night atmosphere just elevates the whole market experience. After a two-year pandemic sabbatical, the markets are finally making their highly anticipated return this week.
The Inner West Night Markets
Traditionally held on the first Friday of every month, the markets are a perfect way to wind down after a long week. With food, vintage goods, fresh produce, a vibrant atmosphere and heaps more on offer, the markets will take over Marrickville’s Fraser Park, a short walking distance from Sydenham Station. Enjoy an evening of music and dance while filling up your bags post sundown.
Market goers can expect a wide assortment of stallholders at the venue. Grab vintage vinyl records, CDs, tees and more from Vectorpunk or get sublime handmade candles from MiliBees. Vamonos Paella will be on-site slinging vegetarian, valencian (chicken and veggies) and delicious seafood paella alongside Mapo Gelato and Maru’s Kitchen which will be stocked with heaps of Mexican treats. You can also expect Japanese-inspired street food, colourful jewellery from Smoke And Glitter and CBD oil from Wellness Bundeena. La Foxy Fuzz will bring the party vibes with soulful Latin and Rhythm on the cards.
Give Netflix a break and head out for an evening of dining under the stars, music, shopping and more. And bring the whole family along — there’s something for every taste.
