It’s a dream of many to see the great pyramids of Egypt, instantly-recognised symbols of a great ancient civilisation. Now it’s easier than ever to gaze upon these wonders of the world, as the new VR experience Horizon of Khufu is open in Sydney. By blending cutting-edge VR and painstaking historical research, this immersive experience aims to whisk you away to an ancient world, and appreciate the scale and grandeur of life under the pharaohs. Tickets are on sale now, don’t miss out!
Horizon of Khufu has proven to be a popular global experience by the teams at Excurio and Fever, having already wowed guests in London, Montreal, Atlanta, and Paris. Now it’s Sydney’s turn to visit the pyramids, and uncover the fascinating details of life in Ancient Egypt. Travel 4,500 years back in time to begin your journey, guided by figures from Ancient Egypt who’ll lead you and fellow adventurers on a tour of the noble Sphinx, the Giza Necropolis, and the Great Pyramid of Giza.
There’s no magic at work here, only technology; slip on a VR headset and you’ll find yourself roaming thousand-year-old lands that have been stunningly recreated as a digital journey. The experience is based on extensive research collected on-site by Professor Peter Der Manuelian, who leads a team of Egyptologists at Harvard University. The amount of research and level of detail produces a breathtaking effect, one which recreates the ancient world as precisely as possible.
Visitors can expect to be completely immersed in ancient Egyptian culture and architecture at Horizon of Khufu, which is the clearest window to the past we’ve yet seen. It’s an incredible day out for history buffs, or for anyone who wants to see their history book come to life in an interactive reality.
You’ll find the experience at the Fever Pavilion in Sydney’s Olympic Park. Tickets to Horizon of Khufu are on sale now. An ancient world of jaw-dropping wonders awaits!
