Do you love scary movies? Boy, do we have an event for you. Parramatta Goal is turning into a cinema and screening one of the most terrifying movies of all time for one night only. William Friedkin’s cult classic The Exorcist, will screen under the stars at the gaol’s grassy field. The location adds to the mood so to speak especially given the rumour that it’s haunted by its former inmates. The desolate building which was built back in 1837, is famous for its ghost tours and eerie atmosphere so if you’re a horror movie buff, you’ve got to check it out.

2023 marks five decades since The Exorcist first terrified moviegoers. It was also the first horror film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards aside from being one of the most profitable horror films ever made. 50 years on, it’s safe to say the movie is still alive and well in the pop culture lexicon.
To make it as creepy as possible, guests will have full access to explore the goal before the film plus access to bars and food vendors and a live DJ spinning tunes while the sun sets. It’s an event the ever-iconic movie deserves.
Since it’s an outdoor picnic setting, guests are invited to pack a picnic, bring some booze alone and unwind on the grounds. It’s all happening on Saturday, March 11. Tickets are still up for grabs and you can snag yours here.
Enjoy getting spooked and watch out for creepy things that go bump in the night!
