Harajuku Gyoza is known for its gyoza and many Instagrammable desserts like the raindrop cake and souffle pancakes. And now they’re adding the viral Japanese Air Cheesecake to their repertoire. This fluffy, moist and super addictive dessert is quite different from the average, dense cheesecake. Instead of its usual thick and heavy texture, this sweet treat is light, airy and very moist.
Harajuku Gyoza’s Japanese Air Cheesecake
This dessert was made popular by food YouTuber Emmymade after she found the recipe on the back of a Japanese cream cheese packet. Its since been making the rounds on social media and has also gained fast popularity amongst food lovers. Made from only two ingredients and kawaii end product, if you’re not a fan of baking just make your way to Harajuku Gyoza and grab a serve for just $6.
On offer is the original version dusted with kinako powder, served alongside a pot of brown sugar syrup. Pour this sugary syrup over your mountain of air cheesecake to make your tastebuds extra happy. Also on the menu is a matcha version, served with white chocolate and matcha sauce.
It really is as delicious as it sounds but it’s also pretty darn cute which is an added incentive to visit. Other menu items include the salted caramel gyoza topped with honeycomb and popcorn and the lemon meringue gyoza. Grab this light and fluffy dessert in Darling Harbour. They also have stores in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast and South Bank and Albert Lane in Brisbane. Check out their website for more info.
