A giant celebration of Greek culture is making its way to the lovely waterfront location of Carss Bush Park. Complete with over 100 food and shopping stalls, a brilliant fireworks display, live entertainment and the largest Greek barbecue ever done in Australia. Organised by St. Basil’s NSW and ACT, the Greek Summer Festival will showcase the vibrant Greek culture through food, music and traditional dance.

Get your hands on delicious Loukoumades by Yiayia’s honey balls, pastries from Christopher’s Cake Shop, meaty souvlaki or gyros and heaps more traditional items. The festival will also host Australia’s largest Greek barbecue to date so bring your appetite along!
Along with some seriously good food, visitors can also look forward to heaps of traditional song and entertainment with a number of traditional dance groups taking to the stage. One of Sydney’s most popular Greek Bands Iho Nyx will bring the tunes. The family-friendly event will also have a bunch of activities for the kids along with free rides and a Ferris wheel at the venue to keep them entertained. If you haven’t been, Carss Bush Park is flanked by delightful views of the water making it an ideal spot for a leisurely Sunday morning saunter.
The day will end with a dazzling fireworks display which has been synchronised to Greek music for a fitting end to the day. The event is completely free to attend and free parking will also be available on-site. Head here for more details.
