Spring has arrived in Sydney, bringing longer days, colourful blooms, and the perfect excuse to get outside and soak up the season. If you’re looking for something new to do on Saturday night, Darling Harbour has you covered with free drone shows set against the city skyline. The 10-minute display will see hundreds of lights dancing above Cockle Bay, and best of all, it won’t cost you a thing. Here’s everything you need to know about the dazzling display.
Darling Harbour Drone Shows

The free drone shows have been designed as a celebration of spring, capturing the colour and energy of the season in a short 10-minute performance, perfect for kids and adults alike. The display runs the same each Saturday, so you can pick the weekend that suits you best and still catch the full spectacle.
Darling Harbour is one of Sydney’s most popular waterfront precincts, with no shortage of restaurants, bars, and cafes to choose from. Grab a meal or drink from over 150 spots nearby before settling in to watch the free drone show.
When and where
The drone shows are scheduled every Saturday evening, replacing the weekly fireworks in September, beginning at 8.30pm above Cockle Bay in Darling Harbour. The display can be enjoyed from all along the harbour’s edge, so you’ll find plenty of vantage points to choose from. Getting to Darling Harbour is easy, with Town Hall and Wynyard stations just a short stroll away. You can also hop on the L1 light rail, which stops at both the Convention Centre and Pyrmont Bay, or take the F4 ferry from Circular Quay or Barangaroo straight to Pyrmont Bay.
