Christmas in July is around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with a rewatch of your favourite festive films? Say hello to Sydney’s Firepit Cinema, a brand new movie experience taking over The Rocks from July 11 to 20, as part of the popular Christmas in July Festival. Here’s everything you need to know.
Fire Pit Cinema, Sydney

After a five-year break, Christmas in July is finally back — and it’s pulling out all the stops. Falling snow, gooey raclette, live jazz, festive cocktails, and fairy lights as far as the eye can see are just a few things on the menu. As part of the line-up, guests can also book private fire pits for two to six people, settle in under a blanket with a hot drink, and enjoy Christmas crowd-pleasers like Elf, Home Alone, and The Holiday. Also on the program: big-screen favourites like Die Hard, Love Actually, Midnight in Paris, The Nightmare Before Christmas and more.
The standard watch-and-roast ticket gets you a seat by the fire and marshmallows to toast. And if you want to get extra cosy, you can also add on a cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate.
