From fabulous Italian restaurants and “Little Italy” in the inner west to an authentic Italian village a short drive from Sydney — there are plenty of Italian influences dotted around town. But if you’re after a true celebration of Italian culture you’ll want to clear your calendar for Sunday, August 18 for the Ferragosto Italian Street Festival. Returning for its 2024 edition, the festival will bring a vibrant celebration to the streets of Five Dock for one day only.

Ferragosto marks 27 years in Sydney in 2024 so celebrations are set to be grand. The much-loved community event has previously attracted over 120,000 visitors annually.
Previous editions have featured over 200 stalls at the venue serving delicious Italian food from pasta, cannoli, gelato and more along with merchandise stalls and more. Visitors can also expect amusement rides, live music, activities and fun competitions. Grab high-quality handcrafted goods or sip on a glass of wine as you enjoy live dance and music performances across Ferragosto’s stages.
