Sydney’s seasonal market scene is ramping up again, with a run of new and returning events set to land across the city this May. Following news of Epping’s first-ever night market, which has already generated strong interest ahead of its debut this Friday, a line-up of autumn markets is set to follow, led by a major new event in Engadine alongside two established markets returning in Watsons Bay and Wentworth Point. Expect a variety of food offerings, homewares, and local vendors across these community-driven events, with both multi-day and one-day formats on offer. Here’s everything you need to know, including key dates and locations.
Engadine Autumn Festival and other events across Sydney this May

The Engadine Autumn Festival — a new flagship event for the Sutherland Shire — will take over Cooper Street Reserve across two days, with a full program of live performances, rides, and a large spread of stalls set up across the grounds. A dedicated stage will host everything from local dance groups to live bands, with plenty of open green space to settle in for the day.
Over in Robertson Park, the popular Watsons Bay market returns to its harbourfront setting, with more than 150 stallholders offering everything from artisan goods to fresh produce, alongside family-friendly activities. Meanwhile, the Wentworth Point market will bring a one-day event to Town Square, combining shopping, entertainment, and free kids’ activities in a central, walkable location near Marina Square.
