Elf: The Musical, Sydney Opera House
Even though Elf premiered in 2003, it’s heartwarming and hilarious message of Buddy the Elf searching for his true identity remain fresh in our minds. The story follows Buddy, a young orphan who is raised as an Elf in the North Pole but soon realises that he is actually human. Plenty of misadventures follow as he makes his way to New York City to find his birth father and his true identity with Santa’s permission.
Capturing the essence of the movie, this delightful production will feature songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway and The Wedding Singer). Directed by Eric Giancola with choreography by Mitchell Woodcock, this is the perfect way to bring in the silly season this year.
The production’s Aussie debut comes from the Sydney Opera House and John Frost for Crossroads Live, and will play as a concert production at the Opera House’s Concert Hall. Tickets are on sale now and will set you back $75 plus booking fee; get yours here.
