The drive in cinema to trump them all is here.
Disney movies just never get old. There’s a sense of magic and nostalgia attached to them that give them a timeless quality. Striking a chord with both the young and old alike, some of these classics, that you no doubt know by heart are coming to your backyard for the perfect escape into your favourite fantasy worlds. Rolling into the CommBank Stadium in Parramatta next month, the Disney+ Drive-In is gearing up to make a big return.
Highlights
Teaming up with Openair Cinemas, you can look forward to a number of exciting movies right from familiar titles to new releases. Kicking things off is one of our favourite OG Disney movies — Lion King on March 6 followed by Mulan on March 7 and a super fun sing-along of Frozen on March 8.
Most nights of the week, our favourite characters from across the Disney universe including Pixar and Marvel will lure viewers out of their homes and into their cars, utes or vans by taking to the big screen once again.
Cue the nostalgia with 10 Things I Hate About You on March 10 and strut your stuff on March 11 with The Devil Wears Prada. Sing along to the tunes of Moulin Rouge on March 17 and The Greatest Showman on March 18 and get ready to cry buckets with The Fault in our Stars on March 22.
Other classics include Mrs Doubtfire on April 1 and The Parent Trap on April 7. Newer titles include a screening of the devilishly exciting Cruella on March 27 and Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings on April 6.
Check out their full program here and get booking. This time around, the public will have the option to book tickets to The Park — a section for couples with a picnic setting complete with bean loungers, table service and volume-controlled radio hire.
