Get a load of these chocolatey treats baked to perfection.
When in Sydney, you sample as many Portuguese tarts as possible. And with so many incredible options available around the city, you can be sure Sydneysiders have acquired a very discerning palette for this creamy, flaky dessert. Nothing short of the best will make the cut, as it should be. Daughter of a Baker, run by a trio of sisters, have mastered their family’s secret recipe for Portuguese tarts which has been passed down to them through their father who has been baking tarts for over 35 years.
Because of the seemingly never ending lockdown, they have incorporated a fan fave twist by introducing a creamy, chocolatey centre to their traditional Portuguese Tarts and you need to get on it right away.
The chocolate filled tarts are not a regular feature but they are making a comeback next month. On October 2 and 3, you can order a round of these mouth-watering tarts and have them delivered straight to your doorstep courtesy of Cake Hero.
Pre-orders open at 2pm tomorrow, September 24 and you’ll want to set a reminder because they historically sell out at lightning speed.
The usual OG Pasteis de Nata are also available to order if you’re a stickler for tradition. You can also request a complimentary message along with your order and make someone’s lockdown that bit sweeter with a box of these delicious golden beauties.
A box will set you back about $50. Well. Worth. It.
