Autumn is shaping up to quite the time in Sydney and from March 25 to April 24, you can let the good times roll because a retro roller rink is taking over Darling Harbour. Complete with disco balls, pop up bars and heaps of food options, it’s the perfect outdoor activity. Dubbed The Darling Harbour Rollerama, the rink is located at a prime spot to enjoy all that Darling Harbour has to offer in all it’s glory.
The Darling Harbour Rollerama
Find the Rollerama nestled between Darling Square and the Chinese Garden of Friendship. The pop-up roller rink is suitable for a variety of skate levels. If you’ve got a serious case of two left feet, instructors will be on site to help you with handy tips and tricks to master the art of roller skating. If you consider yourself a pro, just go along and skate to your own beat.
You can BYO skates or hire a pair from the skate shop.
After a few rounds on the rink, head to one of two bars hosted at the Pumphouse Sydney Forecourt to recalibrate. Staying true to the theme, the menu will feature American classics like thick shakes, hot dogs and waffle stacks.
The Rollerama will be going all out hosting themed fancy dress nights so you can spice things up with some retro costumes along with Rollerfit classes on Saturdays. You can also get 25 percent off regular ticket prices thanks to Cheapskate Tuesdays.
Tickets cost $25 for rink access and skates although you can snag a discount if you’re attending with a group.
