Some of Sydney’s hottest chefs, restaurants and musicians are coming together for an exclusive event set to take place over two evenings only. Matt Whiley’s Re, Kylie Kwong’s usually lunch-only diner Lucky Kwong and BrewDog are just some of the many local legends you can expect at South Eveleigh. Dubbed Dark Day Dark Night, the event will kick off at 4pm and run until 9pm. Live performances, roving fire dancers, food and music are on the menu along with tours of historic buildings and artsy drawing sessions.
If you haven’t been, the buzzy precinct is located outside the Locomotive Works with a number of trendy eateries and bars.

There’s a lot more on aside from food and drink. Go on guided tours of the 130-year-old Eveleigh Locomotive Workshop or explore South Eveleigh after dark through an exclusive tour. Plus, enjoy Indigenous performances by Burrundi Theatre for Performing Arts, vibe to live music by Andy Golledge Band, Crawfish Po’Boys, Zia Jade and more and try a Sip and Sketch session at Work Club. Roving fire dancers and flamethrowers will also be at the venue if you’re concerned about the weather.
