Brisbane-based circus company Circa is returning to Sydney with not one, but two different variations of their circus spectacular. Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus will feature a fascinating spectacle for young fans while Circa’s Peepshow will bring all the nifty dance moves and cabaret filled vibes for adults. Set to premiere at the Theatre Royal Sydney from April 20-24, the shows promise a memorable time for both kids and adults through physical comedy, circus acts and a lot more.
Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus
Curated for kids age 3 and upwards, the show reinvents Mozart’s music and transforms it into an evening filled with playful circus acts. The man known as Mozart will appear on stage in a puff of powder displaying acrobatic acts and uproarious antics. To those who know him, he is Wolfgang, the dart-playing ratbag. To those who are watching and listening, he is the zany genius Mozart.
“Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus is an hour of Mozart’s music children love to experience. It’s a hilarious madcap ride crammed with acrobatics and skills and lots of surprises.” Yaron Lifschitz, Circa Artistic Director says.
Circa’s Peepshow
Circa’s Peepshow on the other hand, is hot, sexy and addictive with seductive dances, enchanting burlesque and daredevil acrobats. The adults-only show promises an exhilarating ride with extreme bending, saucy circus acts and a lot more.
The shows will take over the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Sydney for a dazzling evening. Circa’s colourful and eccentric adventure comes to town during the Easter holiday period making it a must-do activity for families.
Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus and Circa’s Peepshow will be on from April 20 to 23. Tickets are on sale now. Head to the Theatre Royal Sydney website to snag some before they sell out.
