Chances are you already know all there is to know about Cinnabon. The US bakery chain is a household name known for their iconic fluffy and soft cinnamon rolls. After dominating the cinnamon roll market in the US for nearly 4 decades, Cinnabon opened its first Australian store back in 2019 in Queensland. Sydneysiders will now finally get a taste of their uber famous rolls when they open their first store in Darling Square this week.
Cinnabon, Sydney
There’s so much to love about a cinnamon roll. The fluffy bun, the gooey frosting on top, the brown sugar filling. It’s a pretty simple formula but it works very well. Cinnabon in particular, has perfected the craft of making simple, oven-hot cinnamon buns. Although their classic rolls are undoubtedly the star of the show, the bakery also rolls out a number of other sweet and savoury baked treats. From Chocobons to Cheesy Basil Pesto MiniBons, cinnamon scroll lovers will find it all under one roof.
Excitingly, this follows news that Lune is also bringing their world-famous croissants to Sydney in 2023. So if you love your baked goods, there’s much to look forward to.
Cinnabon has previously set up shop in Queensland and Victoria much to the chagrin of Sydneysiders. But the wait to get our hands on these treats is not long and we’re promised a slice of the action sooner rather than later. Cinnabon’s first Sydney outpost will open in Darling Square, Haymarket on Saturday, January 7, with more stores planned in the coming years.
Needless to say, you can expect long queues but if the hype is to be believed, it’ll be worth it. Keep an eye on their website for more information.
