December predictions are based on many factors, including the active El Niño and positive Indian Ocean Dipole events, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Here’s what to expect from the weather forecast in Sydney and other major Australian cities on Christmas.

Sydneysiders will be treated to a warm, sunny day with Accuweather predicting 24 degrees on Christmas Day, December 25 with some clouds.
However, an afternoon shower is possible with a 20 percent chance of rain. Boxing Day is also expected to be sunny with a mild 24 degrees. Sydney weather is known to have a mind of its own so make sure you keep an eye on the Accuweather website for updates.

Melburnians will get a break from their soggy summer so far with a warm and pleasant Christmas. Temperatures are expected to sit at around 22 degrees with only a 25 percent chance of rain. Boxing Day is predicted to be cloudy with 23-degree temperatures.

Brisbane is also set to get a clear, hot day with 29-degree temps on Christmas day with no chance of rain or thunderstorms.
A sunny Boxing Day is also predicted at 27 degrees.
