It’s officially time to feast on all the twinkling lights around the city. Aside from the light displays in Sydney, local neighbourhoods are also getting in on the action and putting up a show this year for yuletide lovers. Jump in the car and marvel at all the bright lights flashing and twinkling in the night and forget your worries for a little while. Here’s our list of some of the best neighbourhood light displays around Sydney.
1. Mallee Street, Quakers Hill
This iconic light display has charmed thousands of Sydneysiders for years. The immersive display features everything from a decorated roof, a walk-in display, a snow machine, Christmas statues and a lot more. This will be the last year the display will be set up after 30 years so don’t miss out. Head here for more.

2. Alice Street, Rooty Hill
The Le Roux Christmas light display in Rooty Hill is so popular that it has an entire Facebook Page dedicated to it. Aside from lights, inflatables and all the Christmas trimmings, the display also raises money for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Light Up Christmas Appeal.

From the windows to the walls, this Christmas light display has it all and then some. There’s projections, twinkling lights, fake snow, music and lasers along with a nativity scene. Packed with hundreds of bright, twinkling lights, this display is stunning and very IG-friendly indeed. 10. Magic Grove, Mosman
Head down to Mosman if you want to see (possibly) the biggest inflatable Santa around. Along with the giant Santa, there’s music a decorated rooftop, bubble, smoke and snow Machine plus lasers and projections. This house is also supporting the Children’s Hospitals Foundation, so you can make a donation before or after your visit and help these guys spread the cheer. 11. Murrumba Place, Castle Hill
At this glittery spot, you can see a massive koala, candy canes, a snowman, a gingerbread man, and nativity scene. There’s also a walk-through twinkle light tunnel, an 8ft Santa and several 3d ornaments.

12. South Circuit, Oran Park

13. Nalong Street, St Claire
This neighbourhood light display has been lighting up the streets of St Clair for over 20 years. It’s back in 2023 with lasers, projections, a nativity scene, a walk-in display, a six-meter-tall Christmas tree and thousands of twinkling lights.
