Chatswood is being transformed into a food lovers paradise this month. As part of the NSW Government’s Revitalisation Program to create a 24-hour economy, the Lower North Shore suburb is hosting a giant food trail. Complete with cooking demonstrations, celebrity chef appearances and live entertainment, the food trail will take place over the next two weeks.
Chatswood Food Trail
The culinary event invites Sydney gourmands for a foodie adventure like no other. Dive into delicious food as you enjoy live performances by the Hot Potato Band, DJ Kristie & Sax and the dynamic Maple Rose duo.
Cooking enthusiasts can learn from celebrity chefs Adam Liaw and Dan Hong during their live cooking demonstrations. Adam Liaw will be on-site on Wednesday, September 28 at 6pm and find Dan Hong on Thursday, September 29 also at 6pm.
To make it a true interactive experience for attendees, a number of food sculptures and installations will take over the venue. Take a selfie near a giant cup of noodles or fuel your love for dumplings near a steamed dumpling basket. Other installations include a bubble tea, sushi tray and a ramen bowl and a sunny side up laneway. The popular Hawker Lane will join in on the fun with fried egg sculptures spread over the venue.
The Chatswood Food Trail program aims to shed light on the area’s diverse and rich food and dining options. This is part of the NSW Government’s $50 million revitalisation program which aims to breathe fresh life into city centres across NSW.
