Take your weekend plans to new heights and immerse yourself in a dreamy journey with a new light show called ‘Bullanginya Dreaming‘. Taking over the small town of Barooga in NSW, this striking display takes visitors on a mesmerising journey through the Indigenous history of the region through immersive displays, beautiful visuals, and transportive soundscapes. It’s a long, meandering drive from Sydney but guests are promised an unforgettable experience at this family-friendly event.
Bullanginya Dreaming
Located on the Murray River, Barooga is a quiet and tranquil spot offering plenty of outdoor adventure in the form of bushwalking trails, red gum forests, camping, and swimming. The region has now scored this interactive large-scale event that is set to run on a permanent basis until June 30 next year, so you have plenty of time to plan a holiday.
Produced for local community establishment, Sporties Barooga, in collaboration with Bangerang creatives, this immersive event comes from the Laservision team that recently delighted Sydneysiders with the Enchanted Forest event in the coastal town of Shellharbour. Much like its previous offerings, Bullanginya Dreaming will feature plenty of fascinating elements including glittery lights, traditional storytelling, stunning visuals, and immersive soundscapes along a 1.8km dazzling trail which would take about 60-90 minutes to explore fully.
The state-of-the-art technology and light displays will highlight the rich and nuanced culture of the local Indigenous communities and the Bangerang Country. Before the laser light show, guests can also stop by the Sporties Bistro for a hearty meal and then embark on the light walk.
Tickets for the event will cost you $27 per adult and $18 per child aged 3-17 years and include transport to and from Sporties to the event, and full access pass. The event is now on and you can get your tickets here.
