The previous tour by Professor Brian Cox broke the Guinness World Record for most tickets sold for a science show.
Are you ready to go on a cinematic journey through space and time? Professor Brian Cox, who you may have seen on TV, is coming to Australia to celebrate the wonders of the universe in his tour, Horizons. This show will land in Sydney at the ICC – Aware Super Theatre on Saturday, March 19 2022.
Horizons: A 21st Century Space Odyssey
Expect a spectacular cinematic journey during the show. State-of-the-art LED screen technology will whisk you away. Be transported to different worlds, far-away galaxies and supermassive black holes. During the show, you’ll even go to a time before the Big Bang. Event organisers have called Horizons the “most ambitious and spectacular scientific show” so far.
Additionally, Professor Cox will be joined on-stage by comedian Robin Ince. Together, they will celebrate our civilisation and provide an optimistic vision of the future. Using the latest advances in our understanding of quantum theory, black holes, astronomy and more, Professor Cox will answer deep questions about the universe.
The last time Professor Cox was in Australia was in 2019 for his Universal World Tour. “I loved the 2019 arena tour because it gave me the opportunity to discuss the most profound ideas, with tens of thousands of people in front of the most spectacular images of the Universe,” he said. “When the tour was over, I immediately started thinking about how I could delve deeper, tell an even more profound story and make the show even more spectacular.”
“I’m very excited about what has emerged!” he continued. “I hope the evening will make people think about how fortunate and precious we are, how strange and wonderful our Universe is, and the limitless future we have to look forward to if we make the right choices over the coming decades.”
Pre-sale tickets are on sale now. After that, tickets for the general public will go on sale Monday August 2.
