Black Star Pastry, home of the Instagrammable Strawberry Watermelon Cake, is releasing a range of special doughnuts for World Vegan Day. Pop over to any store in Melbourne or Sydney, and get your hands on three, limited-edition vegan flavours. These sweet treats will be available from Tuesday November 1 to Sunday November 6.

Celebrate World Vegan Day with a doughnut, or three! If you like the classics, there’s a delicious Cinnamon Doughnut, garnished with vegan milk chocolate cinnamon bark. For something a bit more refreshing, opt for the Citrus Doughnut, which has lemon icing and freeze-dried mandarin. Finally, there’s the Raspberry Doughnut, which comes with raspberry icing and a fresh raspberry garnish.
Individual doughnuts are $5, or you can grab a six park for $25.
“Our vegan range is increasingly requested in-store as the demand grows for dietary-specific sweets,” said Danielle Laskovsky, General Manager of Black Star Pastry. “We’re excited to be expanding our range for World Vegan Day.”
If you’re not craving a doughnut next week, but you’d still like to go vegan, try their decadent Vegan Chocolate Popcorn Cake. This fan-favourite features a dense, soft, fudgy chocolate base. It’s glazed with cocoa syrup, and topped with caramelised salted popcorn and freeze-dried raspberries.
Alternatively, you can opt for their Vegan Chocolate Cupcakes, which come in a pack of six or twelve. These pretty cupcakes are topped with I-can’t-believe-it’s-not-buttercream flowers in every colour.
