The Abercrombie is back in business. The iconic Chippendale watering hole is returning after a mega renovation and refurbishment and in true Abercrombie fashion, it’s bringing a party for the books. Festivities kick off with a 36-hour-long rager that begins at 5pm on Friday, December 23 and ends at 5am on Christmas Day. Better yet, the legendary pub is back with a 24-hour license so you’re looking at non-stop parties at the 100-year-old heritage venue once again.
Abercrombie Sydney
The corner pub brought some of the best party vibes to Sydney with record labels like Sweat it Out, House of Mince, Future Classic, Motorik and of course, Purple Sneakers before its closure in 2014.
She’s now back with three new sites including a cocktail lounge and rooftop bar called Casa Rosa, the aperitivo wine bar Lil Sis and its famous ground-floor nightclub — all open until the wee hours of the morning.
Aside from its thrilling opening bash, you can also expect a packed 7-day program that kicks off on Boxing Day. Plenty of Sydney heavyweights are joining the party including Webbha and Jaytech (Anjunabeats), House Of Mince along with a much-anticipated return by record label Sweat It Out and Motorik.
“This new era for the Abercrombie is focused on helping to redefine the fabric of Sydney’s nightlife as well as provide a platform for the next generation of party crews and clubbers to create their own culture-defining experiences,” Solotel CEO Elliot Solomon said in a statement.
The pub makes its highly anticipated return as Sydney embraces a new era of outdoor dining and late-night events. All three venues swing open their doors on December 23. Head to the Solotel website for more details on the program.
