Your mission begins with an official Spy File, a guide to the investigation that introduces the suspects and gives you space to record your findings along the way. Across 21 interactive science exhibits, you’ll encounter coded messages, satellite surveillance and espionage equipment as you gather intelligence on six suspects and look for clues that could help crack the case. You’ll also enter the Code Room, where you can put your observations to work and test your ability to think like an investigator. Behind the spy-themed challenges are real scientific concepts, including cryptography, forensics and problem-solving, showing how scientific thinking can be used to tackle real-world questions. Keep your eyes open, follow the evidence and see if you can work out which suspects, if any, can be implicated in the crime.

Created by Perth science centre Scitech and having toured internationally, Top Secret: License to Spy offers a family outing with plenty to keep curious minds occupied. Older kids can follow the investigation from start to finish, piecing together clues and testing the technology, while younger visitors can enjoy the hands-on exhibits without needing to complete the entire case. It’s a chance for kids to explore STEM concepts through play and an engaging mystery. Whether your family is full of budding detectives or simply looking for something different to do together, this undercover assignment is worth keeping on your radar.
