Scentre Group has revealed a striking redevelopment plan for its flagship destination, Westfield Bondi Junction, confirming a $240 million transformation that will reposition Level 6 as a leading lifestyle, entertainment and dining precinct in Sydney’s east.
Construction is already underway, with the project designed to extend the centre’s trading hours, deepen dwell time and attract new first-to-market and flagship retail and hospitality concepts.
Level 6 to become an entertainment precinct

The redevelopment focuses on a 13,300m² precinct overlooking Sydney Harbour, where design and experience take equal priority. The vision brings together cinema, dining and social entertainment in a single integrated level.
Anchoring the precinct, a significantly upgraded Event Cinemas experience features a refined Gold Class lounge, Boutique auditoriums and a redesigned marketplace-style food offer, while Scentre Group will announce a series of premium dining operators closer to completion.
Architectural planning centres on openness and visibility, with curved ceilings, a grand skylight and expansive glazing framing harbour views. Seating has been oriented to maximise sightlines across the water, reinforcing the precinct’s leisure-driven positioning.
A redesigned valet experience on Level P4 will connect directly into the entertainment level via new lift infrastructure, streamlining arrival and circulation.
Building on the success of Level 1

The Level 6 redevelopment follows strong performance from the earlier Level 1 transformation, which introduced a dedicated wellness precinct anchored by a global-first Virgin Active social wellness club and a flagship rebel rCX store.
That repositioning contributed to an 8.5% increase in visitation to Westfield Bondi in 2025, strengthening the case for further investment in experiential retail.
Recent arrivals include CELINE, first-to-market Princess Polly and the NSW debut of Luxury Escapes. Collectible design label POP MART has also joined the mix, adding a pop-culture dimension to the centre’s offer.
Flagship openings still to come

Global performance label ON will open its first NSW flagship store, while ALO will debut a 700m², two-level Sydney flagship showcasing its full lifestyle range. Further additions will join the evolving precinct.
Scentre Group says the redevelopment reflects changing customer behaviour, where shopping centres increasingly function as full-day destinations rather than transactional retail hubs.
Further announcements on new retailers, dining partners and opening timelines will follow as construction progresses.
