YCK Laneways is making a triumphant return with a brand new festival spotlighting female creatives. Celebrating women from creative industries across art, music and food, the festival will take over the CBD for one whole month of unbridled entertainment. Aptly titled YCK Front & Centre, the female-led festival will feature 50 exciting events across fifteen YCK venues.
YCK Front & Centre
Along with showcasing female artists, musicians, hospitality professionals and creatives, the festival will feature live music and indulgent food options.
Highlights include female-led chef collaborations at PS40, live art at Esteban by Sydney-born creative Nanami Cowdroy, live DJ sets from non-binary collective Pho the Girls Social, and heaps more.
Over three days, Barrack Street will sparkle and shine with live music and masterclasses from hospitality veterans. Master the art of distilling from the team behind Women of Australian Distilling or enjoy a truffle grading and tasting experience with Ganymede Truffles. Some of Sydney’s best female performers will bring the party to the venue on August 26 and 27. Get bowled over by the talents of Kilimi, Pirra, JOY and Jaguar Jonze. Farnozz, Bella Fuego Silk Dancers, Dylan Atlantis, Boy Soda will also be on-site so the party can go on no holds barred.
YCK has also joined forces with the sensational Moulin Rouge! The Musical for limited edition themed cocktails. The cocktails will be rich and fiery in an ode to the female performers of the show.
YCK Front & Centre will run from August 1-31 across YCK venues. See the full program here.
