Our favourite small bars are coming together for yet another epic celebration.
A year after Sydney’s favourite small bars joined forces, YCK Laneways is making a dazzling return with a six-week festival celebrating food, community and entertainment. Yet again, the festival will see the convergence of all things that YCK Laneways is known for — some of the best eats the city has to offer, cocktails galore and a sense of togetherness for the local community. Dubbed YCK Intersections, the program will run from April 11-May 22.
So what’s on the menu this time? Celebrity chefs Manu Fiedel, Anna Polyviou and Luke Hines will be creating mouthwatering dishes at participating YCK venues. Titled ‘Chef’s Selections’, find everything from finger foods to canapes to epic desserts, available throughout a two-week period.
Consider yourself a bit of a culinary enthusiast? Head over to Barrack Street for a new instalment called Master the Art. On from April 22-24, a series of masterclasses will take over the location with some of Sydney’s finest bartenders and chefs taking to the stage. Hear from world-class bartenders from Maybe Sammy and Cantina OK! or give oyster shucking a go with Sydney Oyster Farm Tours. There’s also a pasta making class with Mannaggia a Trois.
And that’s not all, three nights of live music are also coming to Barrack Street with headliners including dance sensation Sneaky Sound System and singer-songwriter Wafia. Brisbane rapper Day1 will also be on site.
Infusing the streets of the CBD with some life and energy, over a 100 curated events are coming to town. Let your hair down to dance parties or sway to live jazz music, get your tarot readings on or head to a magic show, there’s heaps on for everyone.
YCK Intersections is on from April 11-May 22. Find the full line-up of events on their official website.
