Sports lovers are in for a treat because a one-of-a-kind facility will soon open its doors and it’s promising an experience like no other. Woodward Sydney is a sprawling new facility that will offer a variety of experiences to Sydneysiders. Accommodating all kinds of different sports from skateboarding and BMX to rock climbing and even skiing, the recreational centre is set to open later this year in the Hills district with a wide range of sports programs, classes and more.

The multi-use complex will provide a holistic experience to sports lovers and adrenaline junkies with a series of exciting features in the pipeline. A skate park, a pump track, scooter, snowboarding, bouldering, aerial awareness, foam pits, and a gym are all in the offing. The space will also feature a cafe, a bar, and an event space overlooking the facility. The three-level, 3650-square-metre facility will be Woodward’s Australian debut and its first-ever international site outside the US.
The sports centre has received significant backing from the NSW government in the form of $1.8 million via a grant from the Greater Sydney Sports Facility Fund in a bid to increase visibility and participation, especially in women’s sports. The sports centre is also expected to generate more opportunities and excitement for action sports. Guests can expect a variety of interactive experiences including competitions, multi-week programs, individual classes, birthday parties, school holiday camps, events and more.
Woodward has eight venues around the US including in California, Colorado and Vermont but this will be the first time it is branching out in the Southern Hemisphere.
Woodward Sydney’s opening date
The venue will swing open its doors in late 2024 at Castle Towers Shopping Centre in Castle Hill. We’ll let you know when we have updates, in the meantime, keep an eye on their official website for further information.
