The extraordinary Willoughby Symphony Orchestra are back this August with a very British performance you don’t want to miss. Last Night of the Proms will return to The Concourse Concert Hall on August 12 and 13 and it promises to be a spectacular sing-along concert of famous British classics.

Edward Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No.1 contains the famous section to which the patriotic “Land of Hope and Glory” is sung. While Hubert Parry’s Jerusalem is another Last Night of the Proms staple, with lyrics by the poet William Blake. But you can expect much more from this programme of orchestral favourites and popular British classics.
Conductor and host Sam Weller will lead the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and Choir through this musical extravaganza. Not to mention, there will be plenty of opportunities to sing along! Audience members will be invited to raise their own voices in song, wave Union Jack flags and wear red white and blue to get into the British spirit.
