See The Sights, Lights And Colours Of Vivid Sydney From The Water On This Evening Cruise

Fever users get an exclusive discount on this Vivid Sydney Cruise.

The countdown to Vivid Sydney is on and for three weeks this August, the city will be transformed into a phantasmagorical show for all to experience. Buildings and landmarks will be drenched in light and sound will emanate throughout the streets while bright ideas spark conversations.

We’re excited to hit the pavement and see as much (all) of Vivid Sydney as possible, which is why scoping out the best vantage points ahead of time is a must. And one of these is not on any street, but rather from the waters of the most beautiful harbour in the world, cruising around on the MV Supercat catamaran.

Sydney Event Cruises are once again inviting Sydneysiders onboard their 20-metre vessel to take passengers on a tour of Vivid Sydney from the harbour. Guests onboard the spacious catamaran will be taken under the Harbour Bridge, past the Opera House as well as Luna Park and around Darling Harbour and the Maritime Museum where they will get phenomenal views of the 3D projections, interactive art sculptures and illuminated skyscrapers.

One installation that has gotten people talking is Ephemeral, an immersive walkway of 200 glistening and colourful bubble-like spheres, floating over the water at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour. The bubbles, created with a colour-reflecting dichroic film that morphs and changes with alternating light, will be a stunning visual display of colour over the water and one that guests will get to experience from the water.

But phenomenal views aren’t all that guests onboard will get to enjoy. Aside from the winter warmer menu of canapés like King island gourmet beef pies and a selection of sweet pastries, the bar will also be serving up a free-flowing drinks package of wines, beers and soft drinks too for the duration of the cruise.

Sydney Event Cruises will be gliding across the harbour waters every night of Vivid (except for 7 August), setting out at 6pm on 6 August and then 5:30pm every evening thereafter for uninterrupted views of the largest light and sound festival in the Southern Hemisphere.

Prices and duration of the cruises vary between weekday (two hours) and weekend cruises (90 minutes); however, those who purchase tickets through Fever will get an exclusive discount and save anywhere from $30-$50 on adult tickets and roughly $20 on children tickets. Kids under three go for free.

Experience Vivid Sydney this year in all its glory. From the city streets to the waters of the harbour, you won’t want to miss any of it.
