There is much to love in this multicultural city of ours and with La Nina apparently on its way out, we can look forward to heaps of outdoor activities in the coming weeks. One to add to your calendar is the Vida Latin Festival which is bringing some serious summer vibes to Sydney with a whole weekend packed with good food, live music, performances and a lot more. Confirmed to take place from February 25-27, the festival promises an epic celebration of the Latin culture. Even better — it’s completely free of cost.
The Vida Latin Festival
In an effort to bring people together and create awareness about the rich Latin American culture, Vida Sydney will bring a fun blend of experiences to the city.
Foodies can look forward to authentic cuisine while party goers can let their hair down to music by local bands and Latin artists. More than 30 DJs will perform across the three days with multiple outdoor dance classes to get you into the groove.
Take your pick of exquisite Latin street food right from Peru and Chile to Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil to name a few.
Other festival highlights include face painting and a special Maraca making workshop using recycling materials and puppeteers along with magic shows to keep the kids occupied and entertained.
Bringing a slice of Latin America to the Harbour, a freestyle Salsa championship will also be held so you can let loose and show off your dancing chops.
There are also several local artists and handcrafted products on offer, giving you an opportunity to support small businesses and take some authentic goods home.
Check out their Facebook page for all the details and head over here to score a free pass to the festival.
