2024 is already shaping up to be a big year for film buffs with the return of Ritz Cinemas’ massive film festival. This Is Celluloid will take place at the heritage-listed cinema with 35mm and 70mm lined up across 50 weeks. The films will begin screening in February 2024 and include a variety of stellar titles including Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, a double feature presentation of Alien and Aliens, The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, and even an all-night Batman movie marathon.

Catch classics like Heat, Blade Runner, In the Mood for Love, Drive, and The Dark Knight throughout the year. Film connoisseurs can also look forward to several new titles that haven’t been screened in Sydney in a while including My Own Private Idaho and Grand Illusion. All the films will be screened on Friday evenings throughout the year.
