Believe it or not, November is here which means the countdown to Christmas has officially begun. If you’re already racing to get your holiday shopping sorted ahead of time, there’s a huge Christmas gift market coming to town. Featuring a curated lineup of over a hundred top-notch stalls showcasing the best of what the city has to offer, The Makers and Shakers Market will return for a special Christmas edition this month. Browse through some of Sydney’s finest locally made homewares, food and sustainable fashion at the two-day event this month.
The Makers and Shakers Market
The market will be held at the picturesque White Bay Cruise Terminal. So as you fill your bags with treats, you’ll be surrounded by panoramic views of the harbour and the city skyline. The shopping experience also promises to be stellar. Expect homewares, tasty food and sustainable fashion. Stallholders participating include Studio Flos, Outer Island, Lost Collective, Voluptuary Ceramics, The Social Outfit and more.
Naturally, you’ll work up an appetite with all the browsing and walking around. Grab delicious donuts from Donut Papi or get your fill of buttered bagels from Brooklyn Boy Bagels. You’ll also find Portugese tarts and drinks including a licensed outdoor bar by White Bay Beer Co. on the venue. Plus there’s All Things Acai and an outdoor bar by Yulli’s Brews.
The Makers & Shakers Market is a mixed indoor and outdoor event with a focus on Australian-made products. Given the last few years, this is a great opportunity to show up and support our local brands while also getting our hands on some excellent knick-knacks. For its Christmas market edition, they’re joining hands with The Slow Fashion Market which is a dedicated event for new ethically and sustainably made clothing. You can also take home floral Christmas wreaths thanks to Blume Flower School and Christmas tree ornaments with Sydney Creative.
