A Novel Art Experience
Digital art has come a long way in recent years and exhibitions transforming the artwork of famous artists and projecting moving images onto walls have popped up in cities across the world, including in Sydney. Teleport, however, presents an entirely different kind of digital art aesthetic.
At enLIGHTenment, a high-tech digital future rises up and guests are invited to not only enjoy the visual and audio effects, which are no doubt captivating, but they’re also invited to participate in the narrative-driven adventure. Moving through the experience, they will interact with the artworks in various ways, provoking responses and exploring possibilities.
First-Person Quest
The narrative is fundamental to enLIGHTenment. The storyline turns this audio-visual experience into an adventure where guests turn into travellers and travellers are transported into a sci-fi movie to become the protagonist with surreal powers themselves.
The mystical worlds of a tribal alien civilisation await on the other side of enLIGHTenment’s rite of passage where you share the vision of the cyber shaman’s psychedelic trance. You must harness the power to tame and control the digital spirits.
Awesome Photos
Light in varying degrees constantly envelops you in enLIGHTenment. The lobby is a cold white; the world of the living shines orange; the world of the spirits glows blue; and if you venture where you should not go, the world of the dead burns red.
The shaman’s light reaches out across every stage and every step of the way is also adorned with shapes, signs and symbols providing scintillating backgrounds for every one of your photos. The combination of visual elements and interactive tech installations will fill your phone will impressive cyber existence images that will have your friends in awe of where you’ve been.
Fun For Everyone
Previously, Teleport: enLIGHTenment debuted in Hong Kong where the mesmerising installations amazed both children and fun-loving adults. The kaleidoscopic effects captivated their attention and beckoned them to explore the possibilities at their fingertips.
The smooth journey between the physical and digital realms immersed them into the story and encouraged everyone, from groups of friends to parents with their little ones, to play in the emboldened imagination of a technological future.
World-Class Collaborators
Award-winning creators from Australia, the Netherlands, Bali and the USA have been brought together to create this mind-bending trip made possible by audio-visual art. The global team of collaborators includes digital artist Julius Horsthuis and film composer David Levy as well as media art collective Media Tribe and interactive designer IKONIX.
Together, enLIGHTenment features the latest innovations in interactive projections, audio-visual compositions, kinetic sculptures and out-of-this-world fractal art. They have been assembled with an original vision in mind and produced with state-of-the-art equipment for an art adventure unlike any other.
