Sydney Zoo in Western Sydney is a great place to spend the day but it’s taking things up a notch for Christmas. Unlike your average day at the zoo, the Eastern Creek spot will combine wildlife with festive adventures which include close encounters with over 4,000 animals, millions of twinkling lights, rides and a bunch of free activities in the spirit of the season. The festive celebration will take place from November 24 to December 24.
Christmas at Sydney Zoo
Highlights of the event include an enchanting Snow Land which will feature a giant snow slide and a tempting Candyland where you can make your own gingerbread cookies. Then head down to Rudolph’s Barn before making a beeline to the Elf Craft Village where you can unleash your creativity and create your own Christmas keepsake to take home. There’s also a meet and greet with Santa but if that’s your cup of tea, The Grinch will also be at the venue and available for photos.
You can also strap on some skates and hit the roller skating rink or sit back and enjoy all the roving performances on site. There will be plenty of food options available as well including sweet treats like donuts along with coffee, hot chips and more. Tickets will also include entry to the zoo where you can see a number of adorable animals roaming around the venue.
