This Super Soothing Video Lets You Wander Around Sydney On A Bright, Sunny Day

Take a tour of Sydney through this excellent YouTube video.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, this is the quietest Sydney has ever been. Right from the CBD to Parramatta, even the busiest parts of the city, which are usually bustling with life and energy now pose an eerie and empty picture.

August is usually the time of year when there’s a palpable excitement in the air. The cold, harsh winters are behind us, evenings are long and balmy compared to the cold months and heaps of outdoorsy events are in the offing.

Needless to say, we miss being out and about in Sydney and soaking in these experiences in person. But despite the strict stay-at-home orders, there are still ways we can explore our gorgeous city and state and look forward to life post lockdown.

This YouTube video allows you to stroll through Sydney in your PJs and slippers and we’d say this is the next best thing when it comes to exploring the Harbour City in all its splendour given the ongoing situation.

Starting with some iconic staples like the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House we also get to experience several architectural wonders around the city. The video then traverses to give us some stunning birds eye views of Sydney beaches that we so dearly miss.

Put on your headphones with a cup of tea in hand and get lost in the sights and sounds of the things that make Sydney what it is. Turquoise waters crashing against the rocks, lush green forests, mesmerising sunsets, spectacular views as far as the eye can see — this is just the cure you need if you’re feeling some lockdown fatigue settle in.

The soothing music in this YouTube video adds an element of calm and bliss to the overall experience. Thank God for technology that allows us the world at our fingertips in spite of the circumstances.

Sigh…Sydney, we can’t wait to meet you again.
