Sydney’s Mardi Gras parade will return to Oxford Street this year but that’s not all the news to be thrilled about. The return of the glittering parade coincides with Sydney World Pride with a dizzying number of activities lined up. And you don’t have to wait long to snag some tickets with a pre-sale dropping as early as Monday, July 11.
Across 17 days of celebrations, heaps of fun-filled events will take over the streets of Sydney. Among them is the Bondi Beach Party which will transform one of the city’s most iconic beaches into the city’s hottest club with a whooping 12,000 people in attendance. There’s a massive 7-hour rave at The Domain along with Blak & Deadly: The First Nations Gala Concert at the Opera House. You’ll want to keep Ultra Violet on your radar — an all-inclusive bash for LGBTQIA+ women and their allies. There’s also a Mardi Gras Kaftana Pool Party and the uber popular Sissy Ball.
“From Bondi Beach Party, to the Pride March across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, to a Human Rights Conference in the heart of the city, Sydney WorldPride has something for the whole community to enjoy. Make sure you are part of this once-in-a-lifetime festival,” Kate Wickett, Chief Executive of Sydney WorldPride said in a statement.
To get in early on all these hotly anticipated LGBTQIA+ events of 2023, you’ll need to join the Sydney WorldPride mailing list.
