We are barely into winter and our arts calendar is already chock-full of events. Adding to the list is the coveted Sydney Film Festival which is returning for 12 days and nights this June. The 69th edition of the event will showcase the best of world cinema with both Australian and international filmmakers presenting their films to the public.
Sydney Film Festival
The festival promises attendees an exciting season of cinema complete with premieres and glamorous red carpet openings. There will also be a number of film-related talks and discussions and conversations with filmmakers.
On from Wednesday, June 8 until Sunday, June 19, the festival is set to take place in a number of locations across Greater Sydney including the State Theatre, Dendy Cinemas Newtown, Ritz Cinemas and Hayden Orpheum among others.
Film screenings will be held along with an extensive public program of talks and events for film buffs.
“Sydney Film Festival returns in 2022 with a groundbreaking program of feature film premieres and documentaries, international filmmaker guests, and live events,” Sydney Film Festival Director Nashen Moodley said.
He added that the festival will bring people together through the power of cinema and good storytelling.
