It’s been a long two years and its certainly been a long Winter. But the times they are a-changin’ and to usher in a brighter, more hopeful season, a vivid art installation called Sky Castle is landing in Darling Harbour tomorrow.
Sky Castle by studio ENESS
From Friday, November 13 until Sunday, December 26, Sky Castle will take over Darling Harbour with its luminous rainbow arches filled with light and colour. Created by art and technology company studio Eness, who have brought many dazzling works of art to the city, the striking arches are free to visit until later this year.
Much like the appearance of a rainbow after a storm — the sight of which is both beautiful and powerful, the artwork signals the start of freedom and the end of a hard and uncertain period for Sydneysiders with the prolonged lockdown.
Along with changing colours, the arches will also produce soothing xylophone music as you walk through them.
Head over to Darling Harbour to experience this beautiful work of art yourself. You can find it at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour from 10am-10pm everyday.
