Show off your skating skills when Rooftop Rollin’ takes over Campbelltown this weekend. Over the next four days, the upper level of the multi-deck carpark at Campbelltown Mall will be home to a retro rooftop skating rink. While away the weekend roller skating to live tunes and tucking into pizza, candy and more.
Rooftop Rollin’, Campbelltown
The rooftop skating rink is the first event of the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost — a quirky and fun event to commemorate one of Australia’s most famous ghosts, Frederick Fisher who left his home in Campbelltown in June 1826, never to be seen again. So naturally, Campbelltown holds a fun-filled celebration in his honour every November.
At the pop-up roller rink, avid skaters can have a rad time skating during the day at the open-air rink and during the night under the stars. There will be two rinks on site, one suitable for beginners and one for seasoned skaters. Expect a DJ spinning tunes, plenty of food and dessert vendors for when you need a snack and a candy stall to satiate your sweet tooth. Plus if you’re new to the game, Western Sydney Rollers will be conducting roller demos daily from 7.30pm to 8pm.
There are also themed roller skating sessions and guests are encouraged to dress up. Expect a Boogie Nights theme on Friday, November 4 and a Glow Party on Saturday, November 5. You’ll also want to keep the Onesie Sundies session on Sunday, November 6 in mind.
You can just rock up to the rooftop skating rink on your preferred day but some sessions require prior booking. Find more details here.
