Tucked beside Chinatown’s Nam A grocer, Pop & Sips is easy to miss. The compact Haymarket walk-up specialises in iced teas, with Southern Thai tea and matcha among some of its standout drinks.
Despite its location on one of Haymarket’s busiest streets, the tiny shop is easy to overlook. A minimalist blue and white sign marks the front, while cat-themed posters line the tiled interior, adding a playful touch to the otherwise understated spot. Sharing the strip with the popular Nam A grocer, it’s the kind of place many people walk past before realising it’s there.
Signature soft cream menu
The stall’s signature “Soft Cream” menu pairs traditional iced teas with a thick layer of lightly sweetened cream. Among the highlights is the Southern Thai Tea, served in its signature bright orange hue and finished with a generous cap of soft cream and a dusting of powder. The rich, robust tea balances the creamy topping, creating a drink that leans somewhere between a classic milk tea and a dessert.
Beyond the Thai tea, the stall pours a variety of other iced drinks. The menu features several matcha variations, including a standard matcha latte and a coconut matcha, alongside hojicha lattes and dark chocolate beverages. Customers can order these in small or medium sizes, all available with the signature cream.
With no seating and a focus on takeaway, Pop & Sips is designed for a quick stop, whether you’re grabbing an afternoon pick-me-up or taking a break from exploring Haymarket. Check out their official Instagram page for more info.
