Paris is calling and this cabaret is your ticket to France.
The City of Light is a dream away at present. And while we wish to walk down Paris’ striking boulevards, its lengthy avenues and tour its museums, gardens and pass the time eating buttery croissants, we simply cannot.
However, French culture is never far away and this August the award-winning entertainer Milko Foucault-Larche and Parisian-born Corinne Andrew will be taking to the stage to perform many of France’s most famous chansons. C’est la Vie en Rose.
Foucault-Larche and Andrew are the leading ambassadors of French popular music in Australia today. With decades of experience performing across the world, they will take you on a journey through the repertoire of Piaf, Aznavour, Bécaud, Dalida, Yves Montand, Charles Trenet, Enrico Macias, Joséphine Baker and many more to keep alive the je ne sais quoi feeling of the French.
With special guest and master of the accordion Nick Bavarelli joining them on the stage, the performers will also include classic songs from the world of music theatre, French Opera and French adaptations of Italian and Spanish numbers for a night rich in song, dance and theatre.
This new show will be the closest we get to Paris and its famous cabarets this year. And with a glass of bubbles on arrival as well as a two-course dinner of Coq au Vin with an Apple Tarte Tatin for dessert, we believe that the essence of Paris will be alive and well inside the 1920s, heritage-listed Cellos Grand Dining Room at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel.
Take a seat because it’s time to revel in the Parisian spirit at Paris After Dark, the cabaret. Get your tickets below
