Sydney’s market scene really comes into its own in the warmer months, with weekends filling up with everything from sprawling design fairs to neighbourhood markets and one-off shopping events. And this October, there’s another one to add to the calendar, this time in Western Sydney. Cambridge Markets is bringing a new indoor spring market Merrylands, with around 50 stalls coming together for a full day of shopping, food and family activities. The line-up will span fashion, jewellery and homewares alongside plants, art and plenty of things to eat and drink, all without having to worry if the weather takes a turn for the worse. Best of all, entry is completely free. Here’s what to expect at the Mason & Main Merrylands Indoor Spring Market.
What to expect at Mason & Main Merrylands Indoor Spring Market
The market will spotlight small businesses and independent makers from across Sydney, with the stalls covering a wide variety of locally made and boutique products. Shoppers can browse handmade candles, artwork and flowers alongside men’s and women’s clothing, accessories and pieces for the home. Visitors can also expect dedicated stalls selling children’s clothing and toys.
Food will be a big part of the day as you browse, with a mix of hot dishes, desserts and sweets, artisan produce and boutique drinks available throughout the market. Coffee will also be on hand for anyone planning to spend a few hours browsing the stalls. Families can expect kids’ activities and entertainment across the day, while the indoor setting means the event will go ahead regardless of rain. The market will take over Level 1 of Mason & Main, with the precinct’s existing restaurants and retailers located nearby, so you can make a day of it.
