You weren’t just friends with “Fangsy” Fang Gogh, Sydney’s most prominent supernatural artist. You were part of their inner circle, a monstrous member of their charming clique and confidant during dark and tumultuous times. Their death has spooked you but you also stand to earn millions, billions and zillions from their testament, just like the others. Is this what the vampire host whispers in your ear as you arrive for Murder in the Grove?
Murder in the Grove is an unearthly, preternatural and curiously bizarre interactive Murder Mystery experience. There are games to play, grazing plates for lunch and unlimited beer, wine and bubbles to drink because this is one will reading that is certain to transcend this plane of existence. Oh, and there’s a murder to solve as well.
Embrace your monster within and crack the mysterious murder of “Fangsy” Fang Gogh.
Murder in the Grove is Sydney’s latest interactive and immersive murder mystery experience. Step into the fantastical realm of Fangsy’s private art studio at Grove Bar and you will be met by Atlas Adams, Sydney’s most experienced Murder Mystery MC and dedicated blood-sucking vampire. He is your guide through the three-hour experience.
From hosting Murder Mystery at Elizabeth Bay House to running the world’s first online murder mystery and breaking the world record for longest improvised play (100 hours), there is no vampire better suited to dishing out Fangsy’s inheritance. All you need to do is play along, create art, win the auctions and prove to the NSW police that Fang Gogh’s death was not an accident.
Participants are invited to dress in their best beastly attire (or human disguise) to make the most of the three-hour murder mystery experience. Stay in character throughout the will reading, the puzzles and artistic games, and you’ll be one step closer to walking away with Fangsy’s inheritance. It might also help you figure out if it was the holy water, the silver bullet, the stake or the flames that killed your mate.
If you need new threads, hit up Snog The Frog on Hart Street in Surry Hills and mention “Grove Bar” to save 10% on supernatural costume hire.
Murder in the Grove takes place on Saturdays at 2pm and all monsters are invited to partake in the will reading. However, monsters with ravishing hunger can tuck into either the Bottomless Graze Package or the VIP Experience to include either a three-course grazing menu or four-course grazing pack. Both options include 90 minutes of free-flowing beer, wine and bubbles because solving murders is thirsty work.
Keep an eye out, though, because “Fangsy’s” death might not be the only monster murder!
