Experience life, light and colour like never before at Monet and Friends.
Grande Experiences elevate the artworks of master painters from the canvas to the screen. And not just one or any screen. Thanks to their Sensory4™ technology, they combine multichannel motion graphics, cinema-quality surround sound and up to forty high-definition projectors to immerse audiences in ways that traditional museum experiences cannot. When Van Gogh Alive arrived in Sydney last year, audiences were so engrossed that the exhibition run was extended at least twice due to popular demand. Even then, dates and times still sold out.
Grande Experiences Sensory4™ technology returned to Royal Hall of Industries in Moore Park for a second show. This time with Monet and Friends — Life, Light & Colour projected onto giant screens, columns, walls, the ceiling, and even the floor. And the demand for the show has been so high that it has now been extended for another two weeks.
Visitors are able to not only dive into Monet’s ‘Water Lillies’ and see up-close the rich display of light and colour projected all around them, but they are also treated to the works of many of his friends and contemporaries including Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas and many more.
Together, these master painters transformed the art world in the 19th century with their depictions of life, light and colour. From the greens and blues of Monet to the bustling Montmartre Boulevard of Pissarro as well as Edgar Degas’ ballerinas in blue tutus and Cézanne’s still lifes, Paris will feel alive just as Van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’ did as they swayed in front of you.
The bold, yet relatively small and thin brushstrokes of the Impressionists will be accompanied by a specially-curated aroma and the classical music of Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Ravel and Offenbach so as to further envelope you in their world and experience Paris through their eyes.
This is one experience that you don’t want to miss.
Monet and Friends — Life, Light & Colour opens at Royal Hall of Industries in Moore Park is now showing until 18 April.
