On the third day of the festival, turn up to Fair Day and celebrate the most vibrant free queer event of the Mardi Gras festival alongside 80,000 other revellers at Victoria Park.
Set up the picnic rug and soak up the sunshine while you listen to good music, join in on games in the Sports Village, watch dogs strut their stuff at Doggywood, and browse all the market and community stalls you can. (Featured image: @koikoille)

Running until 2pm, make sure to drop by The Arena and catch pups young and old battle it out for Best Dressed, Most Talented, and the highly coveted Best In Show Award. If on the day you’re wondering where all that clapping is coming from, it’s probably coming from Doggywood.

Make sure you get a chance to wander around the stalls where you’re sure to pick up more festival outfit accessories than you need as well as getting the chance to join clubs, groups and communities across the city and the state. See here for the fair day map and stall information.
Although Fair Day is a free event, donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated as monies raised go to the continuing support of LGBTQI community groups, the support of Australian and international LGBTQI arts as well as helping Mardi Gras create more free events for LGBTQI people. So, get your coins or card out and do the right thing.
Ease into Mardi Gras with Fair Day at Victoria Park this Sunday, February 16.
