The city is gearing up to welcome the Lunar New Year in style with events taking over the city. While we cross our fingers and hope that the Year of the Tiger brings home some luck and prosperity after a rough two years, restaurants around the city are upping the ante with themed dishes and events. In keeping with tradition, the Lotus Dining Group is pulling all the stops to make the Lunar Year celebrations this year one for the books.
Lunar New Year celebrations at the Lotus Dining Group
This year you can head to one of the five venues in either Barangaroo, CBD, Double Bay or Darling Harbour for a range of diverse festivities and scrumptious Chinese cuisine to mark the New Year. On offer are delectable tiger-themed banquets, lion dancers and giveaways for lucky diners.
Partake in the celebrations from January 29 until February 13 with specially curated Lunar New Year inspired banquets. Head over to Lotus Double Bay for some tiger prawn with lobster dumplings or find a delicious prosperity salad at The Gardens by Lotus.
Find wok fried tiger prawns with homemade XO sauce at their Barangaroo location or get your fill of duck pancakes at The Galeries. Also on offer is a special, limited-edition Year of the Tiger rice lager by Lotus made in partnership with White Bay Beer Co.
And that’s not all. To really get into the spirit, traditional lion dancers will be on the scene from February 4-6 for your entertainment across the five venues. A traditional red envelope with an $18 voucher will also be gifted to all diners before going into a draw for a chance to win an $88 dining voucher.
You can find menu and performance details at the Lotus Dining Group website.
