Sydney Opera House’s Carols at the House is back this December. It’s a family-friendly live music show conducted by Taylor Scott Davis, Bob Chilcott and David Willcocks. Expect to hear Christmas carols like “Joy to the World”, “Away in a Manger” and “Silent Night” under the roof sales of the Sydney Opera House’s Concert Hall. Ticket prices range between $45 – $140 depending on the seating zone.

A classical tribute to Christmas tunes is festive enough—but bathe it in thousands of candles and you’ve got the ultimate Christmas plan. This December, Candlelight is lighting up Sydney’s St Stephen’s Uniting Church to welcome these classical Christmas tributes. These Christmas concerts in Sydney CBD offer a classical twist on Christmas movie soundtracks and holiday hits.

The Darling Harbour Christmas Festival is a free Christmas event coming to Sydney’s Tumbalong Park. The festive extravaganza features Lenny Pearce’s Toddler Techno baby raves, performances by Sydney Harmony choir and a headline set by Christine Anu and daughter Zipporah. To close out the evening, there’ll be a big firework display at Cockle Bay Wharf at 9pm.

Australian Brandenburg Orchestra – Noël Noël!

Noël Noël! is another classical concert that’s amping up the festive vibes in Sydney this December. It’s led by the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and features performances by Brandenburg Choir as well as guests like mezzo-soprano Maria Eugenia Nieva and guitarist Andrew Blanch.
Traditional Christmas classics like “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Stille Nacht” are on the programme and there are multiple shows scheduled each evening, the first starting at 5pm and the later one at 7:30pm. Ticket prices range from $40 to $114.

Woolworths Carols in the Domain 2025

Woolworths Carols in the Domain is one of Sydney’s largest outdoor Christmas concerts. For the past 40+ years, the show has brought together some of Australia’s biggest names in music to ring in the festive season, including Delta Goodrem, Jessica Mauboy and Tina Arena. International stars like Michael Bublé, Kelly Clarkson, Rod Stewart and Leo Sayer have taken to the stage here too.
This year, Marcia Hines, Mark Vincent and Alyssa Delpopolo are some of the stars on the concert lineup and you can livestream the event on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Christmas Concerts at Martin Place

Free Christmas carols in Sydney every single day—it’s a festive chef’s kiss. Until 24 December, there’ll be a choir taking to the stage at Martin Place to sing traditional carols. Australian Girls Choir, With One Voice, Soulfood a Capella and Jingle Belles are some of the choirs set to perform under the Martin Place Christmas tree this 2025. From 8pm until 12am, you can also enjoy the decorative lights that light up on the street every 15 minutes.
